Hours of Operation 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, officers are on call 24 hours.
Referral Procedure All services are Court and Parole Board requests and Orders;
• Bermuda Assessment and Referral Centre (BARC) – Self, family, and health care agencies, and helping agency referrals including Court Requests for all substance misusers.

About Assessment and Treatment Unit

Purpose

To provide comprehensive assessment, supervision, case management and treatment services for offenders and other high risk individuals, especially substance abusers.

Services

  • Assessment and Treatment Unit – comprehensive social and psychological assessments.
  • Bermuda Assessment and Referral Centre (BARC) – Substance abuse assessments and recommendations for treatment options.
  • Comprehensive social inquiry and pre-release reports.
  • Community-based offender programmes (e.g. sex and violent offenders, anger management, life skills, etc.).
  • Community service orders.
  • Mental Health Treatment Court Programme.
