About Habitat for Humanity
Purpose
The mission of Habitat is to increase the availability of affordable housing in Bermuda by assisting those living in unsafe, inadequate or derelict conditions, to make home improvements that ensure that every Bermudian lives in a safe, secure and healthy environment that they can afford.
Services
- Renovate housing to ensure safe and secure homes.
- Labour by volunteers and at discounted rates for trades.
- Materials donated or provided by local suppliers at discounts.
- Families are required to work on their individual projects themselves
– “sweat equityâ€.
