Hours of Operation TEEN SERVICES: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. TEEN HAVEN: 24 hours.

About Teen Services/Teen Haven

Purpose

Mission Statement: “To empower Bermuda’s youth, particularly at-risk girls, by promoting healthy development, through ongoing education, counselling and support."

Services

  • Counselling and support and prevention focused community outreach services in the form of presentations, group sessions, workshops and distribution of materials that provide information on awareness of teen pregnancy, drug/alcohol abuse and other at-risk behaviours. Prevention programs under this umbrella includes the Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month Campaign.
  • Precious Gems summer program. – a female empowerment programme, that helps young girls between the ages 11-14 years old strive towards a healthy approach to living their lives.
  • Housing – Teen Haven residential program offers transitional housing, counseling and a parenting program with life skills training homeless pregnant teens, teen mothers, young women (16-25) and
    their children.
  • Outstanding Teen Awards – This event which is held in the spring, honors Bermuda’s outstanding high achievers. The program not only recognizes academic excellence, but also outstanding achievements in community service, perseverance, most progress, leadership, spiritual leadership, sports performing arts, visual arts, vocational/
    technical arts and overall outstanding.
